Bring Back the Owl
A little history on the Owl Sign that used to be on Main & Old HWY 75: The Sabetha Chamber began raising money for the project in January, 1960. They raised $4000. Dick Hughes was the chair on this project. The sign was installed on July 13, 1960 with the final cost being $3,400. The sign was taken down in the 1980’s.
Unfortunately, the 1960’s are merely a memory and in the age of “click and ship shopping, many brick and mortar stores are feeling lost. As the Sabetha Chamber of Commerce, we feel that working harder and being more creative to help our membership is the key….so we have adopted a new logo and advertising campaign. “Be Wise Shop Sabetha….The City With Heart”, to encourage people to shop and keep our wonderful community vibrant.
